THE MAKING OF SOULBOX

As an eco-construction company, IdFabric specializes in creating unique and sustainable living spaces using repurposed shipping containers. Have you wondered what the process of making a SoulBox is like? In this article, we will take you through the process that leads to making a SoulBox, from sourcing the containers to final installation.

Step 1: Sourcing Containers

The first step in creating a container house is to source the shipping containers themselves, a variety that is already available in our office space. We only use high-quality, structurally sound containers that are no longer suitable for shipping purposes. These containers are typically made from durable steel and have a lifespan of around 25 years.

We work with a network of suppliers to source the containers, ensuring that we only use those that are in good condition and free from rust or other damage.

Step 2: Design and Planning

Once we have sourced the containers, our team works closely with the client to create a custom design that meets their specific needs and preferences. This includes determining the size and layout of the container house, as well as any custom features that the client may want to include.

Our team uses the latest 3D modeling software to create detailed plans and renderings of the container house, allowing the client to see exactly what the final product will look like before construction begins.

Step 3: Fabrication

After the design and planning stage is complete, we begin the fabrication process. This involves cutting and welding the containers to create the desired layout and shape of the container house.

During this stage, we also install insulation, wiring, and plumbing systems, as well as any custom features such as windows, doors, or skylights.

Step 4: Delivery and Installation

Once the fabrication process is complete, the container house is loaded onto a truck and transported to the installation site. Our team of experienced installers carefully positions the container house in place, ensuring that it is level and secure.

Finally, the interior finishes are installed, including flooring, cabinetry, and fixtures. At this stage, the container house is ready for the client to move in and start enjoying their new, sustainable living space.

Conclusion

Creating a container house is a complex process that requires careful planning and expert execution. Here at IdFabric, we pride ourselves on our ability to create custom, sustainable living spaces that are both functional and beautiful. By repurposing shipping containers, we are able to reduce waste and minimize our impact on the environment, while also creating homes that are affordable, durable, and energy-efficient. We hope that this article has provided you with insight into the process that leads to making a container house, and we look forward to helping you create your own sustainable living space.
